Meet the team
Stephen Ogilvie
From a wholesale nursery background Stephen established the company in 1993 and has since amassed a considerable portfolio of completed schemes. Nowadays Stephen works from our busy studio, overseeing the logistics of current projects as well as continuing his passion for design and horticulture. His experience and dedicated professionalism have allowed him to establish excellent links with Edinburgh’s leading architects and property renovators with whom he works closely to ensure that the landscape is a fundamental design consideration at the beginning of any project.
Nick Starnes
Nick has worked with Stephen since 2005, and leads the Design Team in our busy studio. Trained at the Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh, Nick holds a Distinction in Garden Design and has a vast catalogue of innovative schemes encompassing everything from the traditional pottager to highly contemporary roof terraces. Nick has a great passion for orginal design and offers an exceptional level of service to his clients. His knowledge of construction helps him stand out as a designer and project manager, and allows him to innovatively transform the most complex of sites.
Mark Miller
As our Manager, Mark is very much our ‘man on the ground’! He liaises with clients, organises suppliers and keeps our design team in check to ensure projects are completed on budget and on time! Mark has worked with Stephen for ten years and has an excellent knowledge of construction and horticultural practices, which he uses daily to ensure the smooth running of our projects and to tackle any particularly interesting site dilemmas.
Euan Macrae
Euan works as our Head Foreman and is always the first on site every morning. His experience and precision in construction hold him as one of the best Landscapers we’ve ever seen – so it’ really no wonder he’s often found with a tool in hand at our most complex sites. Euan has an excellent relationship with our designers and although he’d certainly never admit it, he likes nothing more than studying the subtleties of a complex construction drawing.
