Formal Garden Design

Richly planted terraces fall away from this Victorian property to reveal layers of Buxus parterre and honed hardscape detail. A rill dissects the garden and exploits site level change as water flows down a series of falls before coming to rest in a lower reflective pool. Sawn Yorkstone adds refinement and foils the burnt riven paving selected to compliment the properties exterior tones.

Clipped hedges contain a riot of summer colour provided by the largely herbaceous planting scheme. Oak obelisks clad in Rosa ‘Madame Alfred Carriere’ punctuate the borders, adding scent and vertical interest.
